Air India announces Bengaluru-London Gatwick non-stop flights: Ticket price

New Delhi: Tata Group-owned Air India will launch non-stop services between Bengaluru and London Gatwick (LGW) in August 2024. The AI will operate non-stop flights between Bangalore International Airport Ltd and London Gatwick airport from August 18.

The airline will operate five weekly flights on the route, providing enhanced connectivity for both business and leisure travellers. Notably, Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) said that Bengaluru will become the first Indian city to get directly connected to Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

Air India said people wishing to fly non-stop Bengaluru-London Gatwick can book their flight tickets. Bookings are now open for exciting ticket prices. The offer is valid till June 30, 2024.

Bengaluru to London Gatwick ticket price: For Economy class, it is Rs 50,000* and Business class ticket is priced at Rs 2,23,000*.

“This exciting development marks Bengaluru as the first Indian city to have direct connectivity to the two largest airports in London – Heathrow and Gatwick, further reinforcing the strong economic and cultural ties between India and the UK,” BIAL said in a statement.

Air India will deploy Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on the Bengaluru and London Gatwick route. The jump jet will have 18 flat beds in Business class and 238 spacious seats in Economy. The airline announced its new service to cater to the growing demand for travel between Bengaluru and London. The direct flights will provide passengers with convenient and direct flight options.

Satyaki Raghunath, Chief Operating Officer, BIAL, said, “This new route will boost trade, tourism, and cultural exchange. London is one of our busiest long-haul markets and the new service will allow our passengers to have a choice of airports in London to travel to.”
