New Delhi: Former Bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling vs Movasar Evolev has been set up for the UFC 307 event in the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States on October 6, Sunday. A month earlier, Sterling pulled out of the fight because of an injury. He sustained the injury during his training session.
UFC took a few days to replace Sterling and find a new opponent for Movasar but they didn’t get any replacement and finally Dana White called off the fight at UFC 307 event. Movasar is still undefeated in the division with an 18-0 record. He last fought at UFC 297 where he defeated Arnold Allen via unanimous decision.
Meanwhile, Sterling lost his title against Sean O’Malley but bounced back hard into the next fight against Calvin Kattar. Sterling defeated Kattar at UFC mega event UFC 300 via unanimous decision.
Another fight rescheduled to UFC 310, Ciryl Gane vs Alexander Volkov was scheduled to fight at UFC 308, but Volkov suffered an injury and the fight was called out, but now the fight is rebooked at UFC 310.
This heavyweight bout fight winner might get a shot at the Interim heavyweight title. Volkov is currently on a four-fight win streak, his last fight was went to the distance but before that, he finished all three fighters under two rounds.
While Gane didn’t fight in 2024 and he was coming from a TKO win over Serghei Spivac at UFC Fight Night. Gane was the heavy favorite to win the Heavyweight title against Francis Ngannou but he lost the fight and then his downfall started and didn’t look like the same. It will be a challenge for Gane to control Volkov.
