New Delhi: Dhruv Shoreyโs sensational hundred and late fiery work from Harsh Dubey went in vain as Karnataka beat Vidarbha by 36 runs in a high-scoring finale of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. By virtue of this fantastic victory, dominant Karnataka bagged the title for a record fifth time while for first-time finalists Vidarbha, the show got over.
The final clash at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara went down to the wire almost as Vidarbha produced some excellent late batting to give a tough fight but a tactful bowling approach from five-time champions Karnataka helped them seal the game and lift the trophy. Karnataka, thus join Tamil Nadu in becoming the joint-most successful side in the tournament. Tamil Nadu has also won the title five times.

Tough chase for Vidarbha
Chasing 349 runs in a final clash was not going to be easy for Vidarbha but they did good enough to reach up to 312 runs, in reply to Karnatakaโs score of 348/6.
