In the quarter-final, he defeated Albania’s Zelimkhan Abakarov with a score of 12-0, who was a previous world champion and the fourth-highest-ranked player.
Aman’s bronze medal match opponent Darian Cruz won three medals in the Pan American championships, including a silver in 2023. The 21-year-old is the only male Indian wrestler to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics quota. He earned his spot at the World Wrestling Olympic Qualifiers held in Istanbul, Turkey. He defeated Korea’s Chongsong Han 12-2 in the semi-final to claim India’s sixth wrestling quota for Paris Olympics.
