New Delhi: The T20 World Cup celebrations are still not over in the country. After a full day of celebrations in Delhi and Mumbai, Indian captain Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav were honoured by the Ambani family during the Sangeet Ceremony of Anant and Radhika Merchant.
Rohit Sharma attended the sangeet ceremony along with his teammates Suryakumar and Hardik on July 5 and the World Cup-winning trio was looking smart in their respective attires. In a viral video, Mumbai Indians owners Nita Ambani and Akash Ambani celebrated Team India’s achievement.
Arijit Singh’s ‘Lehra Do’ from the movie 83 played in the background and the guests attending the sangeet ceremony put their arms in the air and swayed them from left to right.

‘Wanted to keep something from the pitch’: Rohit Sharma
Team India met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi after landing in Delhi on Thursday. During the conversation, PM Modi asked Rohit about the soil eating act in Barbados’ pitch to which he answered that his team won after playing on that pitch so he wanted to keep a moment of that to remember for my life.
“The place, the playing surface where we got our victory—I just wanted to keep something from that. I wanted to keep a moment of that to remember for my life, and hence I tasted it. We won after playing on that pitch, and everyone waited for that moment for so long. Everyone put in so much effort for that. Numerous times in the past, we came very close to achieving that but fell short, and finally, we achieved it through the team’s effort” Rohit said.
