New Delhi: Former US President Donald Trump‘s Vice President pick JD Vance launched a blistering attack on Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris over her “failed” administration policies and said that she will not be able to manage the inflation if rises to power.
During a television interview, he even drew a parallel between the Vice President Harris and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. He said giving her the charge to tackle inflation would be like putting notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in charge of anti-human trafficking policies.
“Giving Kamala Harris control over inflation policy, Shannon, it’s like giving Jeffrey Epstein control over human trafficking policy. The American people are much smarter than that,” Vance told a media outlet.
The clip of Vance likening Harris with Epstein has gone viral on social media.
“They don’t buy the idea that Kamala Harris represents a fresh start. She is more of the same. It is doubling down on the failed policies of the [current] administration,” the Ohio Senator said.
Jeffrey Edward Epstein was an American financier and sex offender who was initially arrested in Florida in 2005 for indulging in a sexual activity with a 14-year-old in exchange of money. Dozens of other underage girls also accused him of similar sexual abuse.
Vance’s sharp remarks came as he appeared visibly dissappointed over recent polling data, which projected VP Harris as leading candidate leavin behind Trump both in key swing states and across the nation.
According to an ABC/Washington Post/Ipsos poll released on Sunday, Harris held a 4-point lead over Trump among likely voters, marking the first time this election cycle that she has outpaced him beyond the margin of error.
