Amid fun chats, Team India trains at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur – Watch video

New Delhi: Ahead of the second Test match against Bangladesh beginning on Friday, Team India was spotted in a practice session at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on Thursday. After landing in the city on Tuesday evening, the Indian team members started their practice on Wednesday itself, gearing up hard for the final match of the series.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a special video on their social media handle as the Indian team trained hard on a sunny day in the city. The team huddle was led by head coach Gautam Gambhir as he was also spotted giving advice to another left-handed batter, Yashasvi Jaiswal. Star India batter Virat Kohli, who could not make much impact in the opening Test match in Chennai, was also spotted training in the nets.

Team India practice hard in Kanpur

Kohli, who seems to be thirsty for making a mark in the second Test match, had started off with his practice in the midst of the first Test match only. A video of the star India batter was viral online where he was seen practicing in the nets. Meanwhile, on Thursday as well, Kohli was seen focused during the practice. Skipper Rohit Sharma also hit the nets alongside Rishabh Pant who focussed on his drives. Ravichandran Ashwin, who proved out to be the star in the first Test match was also spotted while pace spreadhead Jasprit Bumrah also warmed up with some deliveries.

Team India registered a dominant 280-run win in the opening Test at Chepauk with special contributions from Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Shubman Gill, Pant and Bumrah. The hosts would be looking for a series sweep in the final match of the series.
