Janasena leader Pawan Kalyan will take charge as Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Minister of Rural Development, Rural Water Supply, Environment, Panchayat Raj, Forests, Science and Technology on Wednesday, June 19.
The state government allocated Y+ security, an escort and a bullet proof car to the actor-turned-politician. The upgrade in security also comes at a time when Andhra Pradesh government downgraded the security of ex-cm YS Jagan Reddy to that of an MLA.
Pawan Kalyan given a grand welcome:
On Tuesday, Kalyan received a grand welcome from the people of Amaravati, while he was on the way to the state Secretariat. From Venkatapalem to Mandadam, flowers were sprinkled along the road to welcome him. Later, he visited and inspected his chamber at the Secretariat in Vijayawada with Art Director Sai and suggested a few changes. It was suggested to officials to arrange a residence on the upper floor and his office downstairs.
Meanwhile, Kalyan called on CM Chandrababu Naidu at the Secretariat and was accompanied by Ministers Nadendla Manohar and Kandula Durgesh.
Pawan Kalyan contested as an MLA from Pithapuram and won his seat in the recently concluded AP Assembly elections. Janasena fought the election in alliance with TDP and BJP and won 21 Assembly seats and 2 Lok Sabha seats.
He has been assigned the responsibilities of the Deputy CM and various other ministries in Chandrababu Naidu cabinet.
