New Delhi: Napoli have been busy in this summer transfer window as they have managed to make a few good signings. However, Osimhen’s decision to leave Napoli generated a buzz in the transfer market as it looked quite clear that the Nigerian striker was not happy at the club. He was not included in the squad for the pre season friendlies, which was a bold move taken by Napoli’s new head coach Antonio Conte. Besides, the Lukaku situation has simmered down, as there is no real confirmation that the Belgian will join the former Scudetto wonners.

Napoli boss, Antonio Conte has alluded to the necessity for more “reinforcements” for the team while addressing the lack of interest from players in joining the Gli Azzurri. Following Napoli’s victory against Serie B side Modena in a Coppa Italia penalty shootout, former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has advised Napoli’s owners to bolster their roster. The Italian acknowledged that the club’s budget is limited and that signing players is more difficult because they aren’t participating in European competitions this season, but he also hinted that things won’t get better without additional funding.
Last season was a complete disaster for Napoli as their title defence turned into a nightmare, finishing 10th in the league, and to some extent their outgoings from last summer did play a part in this downfall. After the departures of their star defender Kim Min-Jae and Luciano Spaletti’s backing down from the Napoli job caused a sense of panic at the club and questions were raised on Napoli’s decision of letting their star player and title winning coach leave.
They signed Matija Popovic, Rafa Marin, Leonardo Spinazzola, and Alessandro Buongiorno this summer, but they’ve garnered more attention for their unsuccessful attempts to acquire Romelu Lukaku and sell Victor Osimhen, even though they supposedly had a verbal deal with the Chelsea forward. This caused Antonio Conte to question the Napoli owners and ask them to make more ‘reinforcements’ to build a squad capable enough to compete for the title and bring Napoli back to the top. He also stated that many players are not willing to join the club as they are not playing European football this season, which eventually makes it hard to get quality players to join.
Napoli boss Antonio Conte suggests Napoli need a reinforcement, adding to that the reason why players are not willing to join Napoli. Football Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
