Mumbai: Hindus celebrate Apara Ekadashi on the 11th day of the Krishna Paksha (waning phase) of the Jyeshtha month with great enthusiasm. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Apara Ekadashi will be observed on 2nd June 2024. Devotees believe that fasting and worshipping Lord Vishnu on this day absolves sins and grants liberation. The 11th tithi of the Krishna Paksha in the Jyeshtha month begins at 5:04 AM on June 2, 2024, and ends at 2:41 AM on June 3, 2024, according to the Hindu calendar. As a result, the vrat will be observed on June 2, 2024, with the vrat breaking (paran) time between 8:05 AM and 8:10 AM on June 3, 2024.

Puja Procedure for Apara Ekadashi

Morning Rituals: Wake up before sunrise, take a bath, and wear clean clothes.
Worship: Perform Lord Vishnu’s puja and chant the mantra ‘Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya’.
Evening Devotion: Meditate on Lord Vishnu while singing bhajans (devotional songs).
Breaking the Fast: Offer food to cows, Brahmins, and the poor on Dwadashi (the 12th day).
