New Delhi: Arshdeep Singh becomes the most successful seamer in T20Is for India. Arshdeep achieved the feat in the third T20I against South Africa at SuperSport Park, Centurion on November 13, Wednesday. The left-arm pacer overtook India’s ace pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the T20I, as Bhuvi has 90 international wickets and now Arshdeep has 92 wickets in his tally.
Arshdeep dismissed Proteas opener Ryan Rickleton to complete his 90 wickets. In his final spell, he dismissed Heinrich Klassen and Marco Jansen to become the most successful Indian pacer in T20Is and now Arshdeep is only five wickets away from becoming India’s most wicket-taker in T20I.
Arshdeep made his debut against England in 2022 and in just two years, he made himself a primary bowler for India in T20Is. He took 33 wickets in his debut year for Men in Blue. Arshdeep regularly plays T20Is for India.
Arshdeep is currently in 12th position in the ICC men’s T20 bowling ranking but his IPL franchise, Punjab Kings, didn’t retain him ahead of the mega auction. Arshdeep got into recognition when he performed for Punjab in the IPL and got selected on the basis of his IPL performance.

India defeated South Africa by 11 runs in the third T20I at SuperSport Park, Centurion, on November 13, Wednesday. South Africa won the toss and chose to bowl first, and India scored a mammoth of 219 runs in 20 overs. Tilak Verma made a dashing century and made 107 runs in just 56 balls. Abhishek Sharma also made a half-century. In response, the South African batters got the start but couldn’t convert the inning. Heinrich Klassen and David Miller made a handy partnership of 58 runs but couldn’t cross the line. Marco Jansen also smacked some big sixes at the end of the innings, but it was too late as Arshdeep bowled a great final over and India won the match by 11 runs.
