New Delhi: Alexander Zverev defeated Ugo Humbert by 6-1, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the fourth-round fixture and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open 2025 on Sunday, January 19 at John Cain Arena. Zverev lost the second set against his French rival but made a remarkable comeback to dominate the opponent.
Zverev broke Humbert three times in the opening set itself to establish his dominance in the game but Humbert made a stunning comeback by winning the second set by 6-2, earning two important break points. The Frenchman tried to make his way into the game but the second seed displayed a brilliant and dominated the last two sets to qualify for the quarterfinal.
