New Delhi: Josh Inglis scripted history on Friday as he became the fastest Australian batter to hit a century. Inglis achieved the feat during the first innings of the second T20I match against Scotland in Edinburgh. Inglis, who stood out with his knock of 103 runs off 49 deliveries, reached to his century in just 43 balls.
Batting first, Australia lost lethal batter Travis Head (0) and Jake Fraser-McGurk (16) early on in the innings. Inglis then took charge of the innings stitching an almost 100-run partnership with Cameron Green who contributed with 36 runs. In his knock, which came at a impressive strike of over 210, Inglis smashed seven boundaries and as many sixes around the Edinburgh stadium.
