New Delhi: Rapper Badshah has publicaly ended his feud with singer-rapper Honey Singh during GraFest 2024 in Dehradun. During the performance, he stopped midway to take a respectful stand on Honey Singh. Before making his solo career, Badshah was a part of a band called Mafia Mundeer, which also had members such as Honey Singh, Raftaar and Lil’ Golu. However, the band broke up in 2012, leaving a sour taste between Badshah and Honey Singh.
Badshah ends feud with Honey Singh
According to the news agency IANS, Badshah seemingly took the first step to end his long-standing beef with Honey Singh at the GraFest 2024, held in Dehradun on 24 May.
Badshah opened up about the same and said, “There was a phase in my life where I held this grudge against one, and now I want to call it quits and leave that grudge behind – and that’s Honey Singh. “I was unhappy because of some misunderstandings, but then I realised when we were together, jode ne waale bahut kam the, todneh waale bahut the (There were many to break but very few to fix).”
“Today I just want to let everyone know I’ve left that phase behind, and I wish him all the best,” he added.
When Badshah called Honey Singh ‘self-centered’
Last year, Badshah opened up about his rift with Honey Singh and told Raj Shamani and claimed that the latter and him sign “blank papers”.
“We made songs but they were not released. Honey was just concentrating on his career. I was associated with Mafia Mundeer since 2006, and by 2009, my parents were very worried about me. In 2011, my first song with Honey came out Get Up Jawani. We are also creating so many songs, please consider us as well. We have left everything behind and come here. You (Honey) should not be so self-centered. On the one hand, you call us brothers, but on the other, you fail to acknowledge our struggles. He made us sign blank papers; what about those contracts? It was a tough phase,” he said.
The infamous rift between Badshah and Honey Singh first surfaced in 2009, when the duo parted way from Mafia Mundeer.
