Balochistan Blast: No Casualties Reported So Far
The Balochistan Suicide Blast took place in Killa Saifullah and was carried out by the assailant on a motorcycle. The motorcycle-borne explosive hit the tribal leader who was targeted in the attack.
The suicide blast did not result in anybody’s death but a total of five people were injured including Jogezai the tribal leader.
Balochistan Suicide Blast: Nawabzada Mehboob Jogezai Targeted
The suicide blast targeted Nawabzada Mehboob Jogezai, a key tribal leader of Pakistan . Nawabazada Mehboob Jogezai is loyal to the state of Pakistan and is also considered to be close to the Pakistan army.
Details about who is behind the attack and what is the motive of the attack is yet to be revealed.
This explosion comes days after another attack in Balochistan where armed men opened fire on migrants, killing 20 miners and injuring seven others early in October. Police official Hamayun Khan Nasir said the gunmen stormed the accommodations at the coal mine in Duki district late Thursday night, rounded up the men and opened fire. Most of the men were from Pashtun-speaking areas of Balochistan. Three of the dead and four of the wounded were Afghan.
A week before that, a group called the Baloch Liberation Army said it carried out an attack on Chinese nationals outside Pakistan ’s biggest airport. There are thousands of Chinese working in the country, most of them involved in Beijing’s multibillion-dollar Belt and Road Initiative.
