New Delhi: The banks will remain open on June 29, 2024, i.e. today as per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines. As per the central bank rules, banks continue their businesses on the first and third Saturdays of each month, and observe a holiday on the second and fourth Saturdays. Today is the fifth Saturday, so banks across the country will be operating.
It may be noted that banks will remain closed in Nagaland as the state is observing a holiday today due to the Municipal and Town Council Elections. RBI mandates banks to remain closed on designated holidays for special regional events in the respective states.
On bank holidays, ATMs and internet banking services like IMPS, RTGS are available for the customers. The banking transactions including financial and non-financial transactions are also made available by the banks via net banking, mobile banking, Whatsapp banking throughout the holidays.
