New Delhi: Banks will remain closed for a total of 15 days in October 2024 in various states, depending upon the state-specific festivals. The banks will remain closed across the country on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The bank holidays also include the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays.

On October 2, banks across the country will observe a holiday in view of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti/Mahalaya Amavasye- – Banks are closed across India.
Banks will observe a holiday in Rajasthan Banks on the occasion of Navratra Sthapna.
October 10, banks will remain closed on the occasion of Durga Puja/Dussehra (Maha Saptami) in Tripura, Assam, Nagaland, Bengal.
October 12: Banks to observe a holiday in all states as it is the second Saturday of the month and also Dussehra will be celebrated on this date.
Durga Puja (Dasain) on October 14: Banks to remain closed in Sikkim.
October 16: Banks are closed in Agartala and Kolkata due to Lakshmi Puja.
October 31: Diwali (Deepavali)/Kali Puja/Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Birthday/Naraka Chaturdashi – Banks to remain closed in several states, except Sikkim, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand.
