Yamal shines as Barcelona dominate despite rotations
The hosts quickly took the lead when Gavi scored from a Dani Olmo assist just three minutes into the match. The Catalans maintained their control, but Olmo’s powerful shot in the 20th minute cannoned off the post, preventing a goal. Jules Kounde then scored in the 27th minute, giving Barcelona a 2-0 advantage by halftime.

Balagurans had two goals disallowed for offside by VAR. Their third goal occurred in the 58th minute when Yamal executed a quick counter-attack, allowing Raphinha to score from close range and extend the lead. Ferran Torres then scored the fourth goal in the 67th minute, converting an Olmo cross.

Betis scored a consolation goal in the 84th minute, but the match outcome was already settled, with Barcelona advancing comfortably to the next level. After securing the Spanish Super Cup for the record 15th time last weekend in Saudi Arabia, Barca came charged up with restored confidence.
