New Delhi: With the Royal Rumble just around the corner and the ‘Road to Wrestlemania’ is already underway. Apart from usual speculation around The Rock, Roman Reigns and CM Punk, WrestleMania 41 will also mark the start of John Cena’s final match at the event after he announced his intention to retire this year.
As soon as he announced his retirement, fans from all over the world wondered whether he would get one more chance to become World Champion. Cena is currently equal with Ric Flair for the most world titles in WWE.
There was a lot of excitement among fans when it was revealed that John Cena could challenge Cody Rhodes in WrestleMania and as a result, The Rocks’ match against Cody Rhodes was officially called off.
‘I think that’s the biggest matchup in wrestling’: Bradshaw on Cody Rhodes vs John Cena
Speaking on the most recent episode of the Something to Wrestle podcast, Bradshaw said that he would like to see John Cena beat Cody Rhodes and break Ric Flair’s World Championship record, winning his 17th WWE Championship to end his stunning career.
“I’d love to see Cody. Obviously. I’d love to see against Cody for the title. I think that’s the biggest matchup in wrestling. I think it’d be fantastic. I think those two guys, they’re both very smart guys, and I think that would be absolutely incredible” Bradshaw said on Something to Wrestle podcast.
He further added that Randy Orton or Roman Reigns would be good opponents for Cena to end his career but he would like to see Cena against Cody.
“But if it’s Randy, if it’s Brock, if it’s Roman, I mean, Cena is not going to have a bad match, I promise you that. All those guys I mentioned can really work. But I’d love to see him against Cody, you know, headline WrestleMania for the title. Nobody knows what’s going to happen. Is he going to break the famous record or not? I think that’d be incredible” he added.
