New Delhi: Following a shocking Champions League loss to Bologna that extended their losing streak to four games across all competitions, Borussia Dortmund announced on Wednesday that they had sacked coach Nuri Sahin. Thijs Dallinga and Samuel Iling-Junior, two substitutes, scored goals in the second half to give Bologna their first victory in the current incarnation of Europe’s top club tournament and to deny Dortmund their fourth consecutive loss across all competitions. The club has decided to make a change because of their recent bad performance.
Dortmund are sitting 10th in the league, losing their previous three league outings, first against Bayer Leverkusen, following it up with a oss against the bottom club Holstein Kiel and then loss against Eintracht Frankfurt that suggested an immediate managerial change but Dortmund decided to give him time till the next fixture that was last night’s defeat against Bologna.
