New Delhi: Seasoned England paceman James Anderson received a guard of honour on his final day of Test cricket at Lord’s. Ahead of the beginning of the third day of the first Test match between England and West Indies, Anderson walked out for the final time to play in a Test match.
The veteran speedster, who is considered among one of the greats of the game, was given a guard of honour from both the sides. Both teams’ players honoured the legendary fast bowler as the crowd applauded with a big cheer.

The 41-year-old English pacer is set to bid farewell to his international career after an ongoing Test match against West Indies at Lord’s. The hosts are closing in on a huge win over the Windies after taking a massive lead of 250 runs in the first innings. During the first Test match while England were bowling, Anderson created a record for most balls bowled in Test cricket. He joined the elite list of cricketers which include Australian veteran Shane Warne and Indian great Anil Kumble.

The veteran pacer also bowled an unplayable delivery to knock out skipper Kraigg Brathwaite’s stumps on the second day of the match.
