BREAKING: Japanese PM Kishida to Drop Out of Parliamentary Race

Tokyo: Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on Wednesday, August 14, notified his governing party that he will not run in the upcoming party leadership elections in September, indicating that Japan might have a new prime minister, AP reported quoting  NHK public television media.

Kishida’s term expires this September. He was elected the president of the governing Liberal Democratic Party in 2021.
