New Delhi: The shares of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Limited increased on Tuesday, despite the stock market on the downside. The shares touched a new all-time high today. The stock jumped after the company announced the record date for bonus shares. BSE shares rose by nearly 4 percent today to trade at Rs 7,229 at 2:30 pm.

BSE shares have turned out to be a multibagger. The stock has gained more than 20 percent in the last one month, while it has registered a growth of more than 31 percent in 2025 so far. The BSE stock has given a return of over more 175 percent in a year, and in the last five years it has given a exponential growth of 4,920 percent.

BSE bonus share

BSE informed the stock exchanges that the shareholders approval for issue of bonus shares in the ratio of 2:1 i.e. 2 (Two) new fully paid-up equity shares of Rs 2/- each for every 1 (One) existing fully paid-up equity share of the company has been received.

The BSE Company has fixed May 23, 2025, as the Record Date for determining the eligibility of shareholders for issuance of Bonus Shares. Further, in accordance with SEBI circular dated September 16, 2024, the deemed date of allotment of Bonus Shares shall be May 26, 2025, and these Bonus Shares will be made available for trading on the next working day of allotment i.e. 27th May 2025.

The eligible BSE shareholders will be entitled to get the bonus shares. As per the T+1 settlement system, to avail the bonus shares, investors have to buy shares of BSE at least one day before the record date so that their name is included in the list of eligible shareholders.
