Women usually get anxiety, mood swings, and depression in this phase which is also another factor affecting sexual desire. Perimenopause also reduces sleep among women leading to loss of energy which also decreases sexual desire. Women in this phase of their lives usually have insecurities regarding their weight which is another reason why women don’t feel confident enough to engage in sexual activity.”
