New Delhi: Carlo Ancelotti, known for his calm demeanor and tactical expertise is expected to walk away from football in the coming years as his current contract with the Spanish giants expires in 2026. The iconic Real Madrid manager has been involved in football for nearly five decades hinted that his tenure at Real Madrid could mark his last stop in a storied managerial career. 

Although he still appears dedicated to achieving more with the club but he has made it clear that any departure from Real Madrid may likely signal his farewell to the sidelines as he has no intention of pursuing another managerial role.

Having guided several elite clubs including AC Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich, Ancelotti’s impact on football has been profound. The 65-year-old in conversation with France Football (via Marca) shared his thoughts on the subject and admitted that it is something he has been actively thinking about.

Despite his wife’s encouragement to continue Ancelotti appears increasingly drawn to the prospect of a quieter life one that includes fulfilling personal ambitions that his demanding career previously delayed.

He even expressed his desire to travel to destinations like Argentina, the Maldives, and Australia. Lightheartedly, he also mentioned that if his son took up coaching he wouldn’t mind offering his own guidance stating, “Maybe I could work under him as a coach. I’ll follow him and pester him: ‘What are you doing?’ The day I stop managing will not be sad.” 

Ancelotti on his Illustrious career

Speaking about Real Madrid he said, “This club is special, it is the best in the world, because of its history, its atmosphere, its atmosphere, its fans.” However, before he eventually steps away Ancelotti is determined to leave a lasting legacy with Real Madrid.
