New Delhi: The India vs Pakistan match has always been the most exciting match in the world of cricket. It won’t be any different after the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday announced the schedule for the Champions Trophy 2025 after days of dilly-dally.
Arch-rivals India and Pakistan are clubbed in Group A as the tournament is organised with group stage fixtures followed by the knockouts in semifinals and final. A total of 12 fixtures across both groups will be played with the India-Pakistan match, undisputedly, will garner the most eyeballs.
The match between India and Pakistan at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be played on February 23 (Sunday) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. This will be the first ODI match between the two teams since they last faced off each other during the 2023 World Cup in Ahmedabad (India).

Pakistan, who are the official hosts of the tournament, will kick off their campaign against New Zealand on February 19, 2025, at the National Stadium in Karachi. Meanwhile, India’s matches in the Champions Trophy will be staged at a neutral venue after ICC’s latest verdict on staging all India and Pakistan matches in hybrid model whenever either of the country is set to host the event.
India will start their campaign against Bangladesh on February 20 in Dubai. While Pakistan will play their last group match against Bangladesh on February 27, India will face New Zealand in their last group fixture on March 2.
The Champions Trophy 2025 is the ninth edition of the event organised by the global governing body of the sport (ICC). It was usually held every four years, but this edition will take place after an eight-year hiatus. India and Australia have won two titles each as the joint-most successful side in the team.
