In the eighth minute, Nkunku scored the first goal with a crisp finish following a well-placed chip feed from Joao Felix. The forward soon added his second goal with a deft touch to divert Malo Gusto’s low cross into the net. In the 75th minute, Nkunku finished his hattrick after tackling goal keeper Paul Farman and putting the ball in an empty net. The 26-year-old Frenchman has six goals in eight appearances for the Blues this season, including his first Chelsea hattrick.

Besides, there were the newcomers who also managed to get the job done as Chelsea’s new signing Pedro Neto scored his first goal for the club. Meanwhile, Joao Felix had a great performance as he was the main reason behind Chelsea’s third goal, where he took the freekick that eventually struck the post, only to bounce back off the keeper Farman to end up in the back of the net.

This week has been great for Chelsea and Enzo Maresca as the attack has looked extremely sharp this time around. With Nkunku scoring a hattrick against Barrow, Nicolas Jackson has been a wonderful asset for the Blues this season with the best possible start to his campaign. The Senegalese has already contributed to six of Chelsea’s goals this season, as he has managed to score four times while also providing two asssists so far.

He did take some time to settle into the system as many considered him to be “wasteful”, with the amount of chances that he got. However, this season he has looked much more sharper in front of the goal which suggests that Maresca is finally abale to get the best out of his abilities, which is a great sign for the Blues. Besides, further good news for Chelsea would be the fact that Joao Felix, Pedro Neto, Jadon Sancho and Noni Madueke, all have shown good signs at the start of the season.

When you talk about their main man, Cole Palmer has been exceptional as always as he has already managed to bag four assists and two goals this season. These are the signs that he is ready to produce yet another top class camapaign for the Blues. Still only 22, he has a lot to offer to this Chelsea side. He was the main man for them last season, with 30+ goal contributions in the league, and he looks set to improve on that tally this season.
