New Delhi: CM Punk and John Cena share an intense rivalry in WWE history. Both superstars came with a dream in Royal Rumble 2025, but they lost the Royal Rumble match and now hope to win the Elimination Chamber match to set a grand match at WrestleMania 41.
Punk’s dream is to headline WrestleMania but after what happened at Royal Rumble, Punk can’t headline this year’s WrestleMania. Whereas Cena is chasing his 17th World Championship dream in his farewell tour and is eliminated as the last man in the Rumble match.
Cena confirmed his participation in the Elimination Chamber 2025 and WWE allowed him to fill one place out of six automatically without participating in the Elimination Chamber qualifying match.
Punk earned his spot at today’s WWE RAW episode by defeating Sami Zayn via pinfall. Cena and Punk are now already confirmed for the Elimination Chamber match. Both wrestlers meet each other in the same ring after a decade in WWE.
Punk also admitted that he will not deny the idea of facing Cena in a singles match for one last time and their fight will take place on any special live event of WWE.
“I’d be a liar if I told you I didn’t wanna do anything with him [John Cena]. I’m crossing my fingers that we get to hook up on a PLE and have a match; at least on a big RAW for Netflix or something,” Punk stated.
Punk is not impressed with the Royal Rumble 2025 winner as WWE did not booked this year’s Rumble match perfectly. He wants the last two men standing in the match will be him and Cena. He wants to beat the hell out of Cena and eliminate him by throwing over the top rope.
As of now, out of six players for the Elimination Chamber match, Cena and Punk are confirmed to compete in the match in Toronto on March 2, Sunday.
