Mumbai: British rock band Coldplay is set to return to India in 2025, eight years after their maiden performance at the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai in November 2016. The band will perform five concerts across two cities as part of their ongoing ‘Music of the Spheres’ World Tour.
The ‘Music of the Spheres’ World Tour began in 2022 in support of Coldplay’s ninth studio album and has sold over 10 million tickets globally, making it the most highly attended tour by a group ever. The band, comprising Chris Martin (lead vocals), Jonny Buckland (guitar), Guy Berryman (bass), and Will Champion (drums), is known for iconic songs like Yellow, The Scientist, Fix You, Viva La Vida, and A Sky Full of Stars.
The band has achieved a 59% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to their 2016/17 tour and has planted over 9 million trees worldwide.

Coldplay will kick off their India tour at the DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai. The stadium, with a seating capacity of 45,300, will host three concerts:
