New Delhi: UFC President Dana White came live on Instagram on August 28, Wednesday and shared some news on the return dates of several top stars in the UFC. A few days back White tweeted that Conor McGregor would not return to the Octagon in 2024, the aftermath of this tweet pulled McGregor into action and he replied to White’s tweet with ‘Hey Dana, call me when you’re free’ and claimed that UFC is derailing his comeback in the octagon.
Now, the recent news came up from White was he talked with McGregor on August 28. McGregor is ready for his long-awaiting comeback. “We got Conor news coming up” White added in his Instagram live. When White posted this news McGregor replied with a cheeky wink face emoji on his X account.
White not only teased McGregor’s return but he also talked about Michael Chandler’s comeback, Charles Oliveira, and Max Holloway fight news. Chandler has also been out of action for more than 2.5 years and waiting for his opportunity to clash against McGregor.
Michael Chandler believed that he would move on from his potential fight against McGregor if he didn’t show up at the end of the year and also thinks that UFC would offer him a big fight instead of a McGregor fight.
Charles Oliveira on his comeback
Former Lightweight champion Oliveira will also make his comeback in the UFC as he was last seen in the UFC 300 event where he lost his fight against Arman Tsarukyan. Oliveira is also now considering moving upward in the 170lbs division and wants to fight against Colby Covington.
“Family, I’m dying to fight and I know you all want to see me fight. I’m hoping my fight will be coming soon and I’m counting on all of you to support me. I’m doing my part by training. Soon the lightweight lion is going to hunt,” Oliveira stated.
Dan Hooker recently called out Oliveira in UFC 305 after his wing against top 5 ranked Marteusz Gamrot. Oliveira will choose his opponent when he returns to the octagon and he also hinted he might go for the title shot one more time.
