New Delhi: A fake video of Virat Kohli has gone viral on social media where he can be seen criticising his Indian teammate Shubman Gill over the comparisons between the duo. One of the greatest batters of the present era, Kohli has been a prolific run-getter for India across formats. He has been a world-beater for over a decade and has dominated bowling attacks across all sorts of conditions.
The only batter with 50 centuries in ODIs and the 2nd highest run-getter for India in the fifty-over format, Kohli remains unstoppable as he continues to break records one after another. Gill started earning comparisons with Kohli after enjoying a fabulous run in 2023 where he amassed an impressive 1584 runs in ODIs, including 5 centuries. Gill was the only batter in the world to go past the 1500-run mark in ODIs last year.
In the fake AI-morphed video which has caught the attention of fans on social media, Kohli can be seen speaking about comparisons between him and Gill. Kohli goes on to say that Gill has a long way to go and that a few good performances for India won’t make him the ‘next Virat Kohli’. Reacting to the video, many fans shared how they thought the video was real at first before realising it was a fake AI-generated clip.
