A few days ago, Kashi Vidvat Parishad in Varanasi, UP claimed that Diwali is on 31 October. Whereas, Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid ji and many other scholars of Kashi had said that the date of Diwali is 1 November. So this caused much other confusion among the people celebrating it as to when is the right time and date to celebrate the festival, and what is the right time to perform the puja.
Vidvat Parishad declares Diwali on October 31, 2024
Vidvat Parishad says to celebrate the festival of Diwali on October 31, 2024, as per the scriptures and to attract auspiciousness. He also added that our proposal for the Diwali date has strong support from prominent religious leaders, including Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Ji, Swami Sadanand Ji, and Swami Nischilanand Ji Maharaj, along with the Akhara Parishad, Sant Samiti, and Ram Bhadracharya Ji.
Professor Vashishtha Tripathi, who is the president of the Vidvat Parishad and Professor Ram Narayan Dwivedi, the general secretary also added to the conversation and said that those who know the right date with reason should tell what and why it should be celebrated. But should not create any confusion without any knowledge.
Diwali in Ram Mandir
Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid, who founded the Muhurta for Ayodhya Shri Ram Mandir says that celebrating Diwali on November 1, 2024, is a great idea and those who are celebrating it on October 31, 2204, should reconsider it and celebrate it on November 1 only. Adding on he said, five major Panchangs have confirmed the celebration of Deepawali on November 1 from a classical point of view. The Pradosh falls on the Udaya Tithi on November 1 Amavasya falls after sunset. Along with this, Swati Nakshatra and Pratipada are falling, which is the best for Mahalaxmi Puja.
