Everton vs Manchester United: Beto scores in fourth consecutive Premier League game

New Delhi: Beto has now scored in each of his last four Premier League outings making him the first player to achieve this feat since Richarlison did in March 2021. He is also the first Toffe player to score in four consecutive games under David Moyes since Mikel Arteta achieved the feat in April 2010. Beto achieved the feat against Manchester United when he broke the deadlock in the 19th minute of the game.

The striker has now scored five goals in his last four Premier League outings, including a brace against Leicester City and has scored in the Merseyside derby against Liverpool and against Crystal Palace as well.

Everton have managed to stay unbeaten in their last eight games, with six wins and two draws so far, with Moyes turning around Everton’s fate and pulling them from 16th place up to 12th place from a point where they were fighting to stay away from the relegation zone by just one point. Many feared that the Toffees would indeed be relegated from the top tier of English football for the first time since 1950.

Manchester United’s continued poor performance

After taking over from Sean Dyche, Moyes has collected 13 points for the Merseyside club. On the other hand, Ruben Amorim’s Man United have been on their lowest luck, having won just once in their last six Premier League outings. Conceding first has caused them a lot of trouble in the season, with the side losing six of seven games when they conceded first, with the only win coming against Southampton in January when they won 3-1.

The performance has even led Ruben Amorim to mention before that game that David Moyes had done a better job at turning fortunes around for Everton than he has. While Moyes lost his first game after returning to the Toffees helm, he has been unbeaten since. Moyes had previously saved West Ham United from being relegated on two occasions. Recently he completed 700 games in charge in the Premier League having led Man United, West Ham and Everton.

Everton striker Beto scores in fourth consecutive game to break Richarlison’s record, scoring five goals in as many games as Manchester United continue to struggle at Goodison Park.  Football Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
