1. Lord Shiva Statue Nathdwara

The ‘Statue of Belief,’ (SOB) a magnificent 369-foot-tall representation of Lord Shiva, is located in Nathdwara, near Udaipur, Rajasthan. It ranks among the world’s largest Shiva statues and is one of the top five largest statues globally.

The Vishwas Swaroopam statue, towering at 369 feet, is visible from up to 20 kilometres away.

A) Attractions and cost

a) 3D projection mapping, light, and sound show: This dynamic display brings vibrant colours and intricate visuals to life, turning the statue into a canvas celebrating Lord Shiva’s spiritual significance and cultural heritage.

Monday and Tuesday:Shabd Utpatti’ explores the cosmic origins of words and their spiritual significance in mantra chanting.
Wednesday:Maharaas’ tells the story of Narsinh Mehta, who, despite societal ridicule, meditates for a divine vision of Krishna’s dance and is blessed by Lord Shiva.
Thursday: ‘Cosmic Vision’ reveals the infinite marvels of existence, inspired by Kakabhushundi’s vision of countless universes within the divine.
Friday: ‘Kaamdahan’ emphasises balancing wealth, righteousness, desire, and liberation, echoing Lord Shiva’s role in dispelling societal hypocrisy.
Saturday and Sunday:Rudrashtakam’ features the eight verses of Rudra, a prayer seeking Lord Shiva’s blessings, protection, and forgiveness.

Each show offers a unique insight into Lord Shiva’s teachings and spiritual essence, ensuring an enriching experience throughout the week.

The 3D projection mapping show begins daily at 8 pm and lasts approximately 25 minutes. Tickets for the show can be purchased online through the SOB’s website or the ticket counter.

b) Park: The entry fee for the park, which includes access to the Musical Fountain, Harihar Setu, and a complimentary 3D-Projection Mapping (Light & Sound Show), is ₹200 for adults and ₹100 for children.

c) Viewing Gallery (270-280 feet): The entry fee, which includes access to the park, Musical Fountain, Harihar Setu, Viewing Gallery (270-280 feet), Glass Bridge, and a complimentary 3D-Projection Mapping (Light & Sound Show), is ₹400 for adults and ₹200 for children.

d) Jalabhishek: The fee for the Jalabhishek experience, which includes park entry, the Musical Fountain, Harihar Setu, Viewing Gallery (270-280 feet), Glass Bridge, and a complimentary 3D-projection Mapping (Light & Sound Show), is ₹1500 for adults and ₹750 for children.

B) Timings

The Statue of Belief is open daily from 10 am. The last entry is at 8 pm, and the park closes at 10 pm.

C) How to reach the Statue of Belief?

From Shrinathji, the Statue of Belief is just 1 kilometre away. You can take an auto-rickshaw directly to the site.

 

2. Adiyogi Shiva statue Coimbatore

Adiyogi Shiva statue Coimbatore (Isha Foundation)

Isha Foundation Shiva statue: Acknowledged by the Guinness World Records as the largest bust sculpture globally, the face of Adiyogi stands 112 feet tall in the Velliangiri foothills.

Adjacent to the Adiyogi stands the Yogeshwar Linga, consecrated by Sadhguru, representing five of the major chakras in the human body.

A) How to reach the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore?

Adiyogi is located 30 kilometres, West of Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. Coimbatore, a significant industrial hub in Southern India, is well-connected by air, rail, and road. Direct bus services run between Coimbatore and Adiyogi are available. Taxis can be arranged from the airport and railway station. Alternatively, you can contact the travel desk to book a taxi to the centre.

B) Timings

The Adiyogi and Dhyanalinga premises are accessible from 6 am to 8 pm.

 

3. Adiyogi Shiva Statue Chikkaballapur

The Adiyogi sculpture, standing 112 feet tall and nearby, the Yogeshwar Linga, consecrated by Sadhguru, represents five of the major chakras within the human body.

Adiyogi Divya Darshanam is an immersive video projection show displayed on the Adiyogi statue here. This breathtaking visual experience includes Sadhguru narrating the story of Adiyogi and the origins of the science of Yoga. The show takes place daily at 7 pm.

B) How to reach Sadhguru Sannidhi?

Adi Yogi Shiva statue Bangalore: Sadhguru Sannidhi in Bengaluru is situated near Nandi Hills in the Chikkaballapura district, 65 kilometres north of Bengaluru.

Taxis are available for travel from Bengaluru to Sadhguru Sannidhi. Additionally, regular bus services connect Bengaluru with Chikkaballapura town and Chikkaballapura town with the Sannidhi.

 

4. Kerala Shiva statue

Trivandrum Shiva statue: The Azhimala Shiva Temple in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) is home to a remarkable 18-meter sculpture of Lord Shiva, known as Gangadhareshwara. This statue, the tallest Shiva sculpture in Kerala, depicts Shiva with flowing hair and holding Goddess Ganga.

Positioned on a rock, the statue features Shiva with one hand resting on his thigh and the other holding a trident. His matted hair symbolises Ganga, and he is adorned with Vasuki around his neck, a Rudraksha necklace, and Rudraksha beads on his arms and ankles.

The statue, crafted from concrete, is renowned for its intricate details and craftsmanship, including finely sculpted nails, veins, and muscles.

The Azhimala Shiva Temple believed to date back to the Mahabharata era, is linked to a legend where Bheemsena struck a rock to provide water for Draupadi, leading to the creation of a water source in one of the temple’s caves.

The temple features a meditation hall below the statue for those seeking tranquillity.

The temple is open daily except Mondays, with visiting hours from 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm.

B) How to reach Azhimala Shiva Temple?

The Azhimala Shiva Temple is situated between Trivandrum and Kovalam in Kerala. The nearest railway station to the temple is Trivandrum Central Railway Station, located approximately 20 km away. From there, you can reach the temple in about 40 minutes by auto or car.
