New Delhi: In what can be described as an extremely rare moment in the history of sports, the tallest and the shortest basketball players at Paris 2024 were captured in the same frame. The incredible moment was captured during the Group B match between France and Japan on Tuesday,

While it was a match between the home side and the Japanese, it was also a face-off between the tallest and shortest players in the Paris Olympics Basketball tournament.

French international Victor Wembanyama, who measures (222cm/7’3”) is the tallest, while Yuki Togashi measures  (167cm/5’6”) came up against each other in what was a mismatch of epic proportions.

Wembanyama powers France in thriller

Wembanyama, the tallest basketball player at the Paris Olympics, was the star of the day, finishing with a team-high 18 points to go along with 11 rebounds, six assists, two blocks and two steals. The San Antoni Spurs star went on a personal 8-0 run to start the Overtime, powering France to a 94-90 win in a thriller and booking a place in the quarter-finals.
