However, the highly anticipated Garba event featuring the renowned singer and Garba queen Falguni Pathak in Ahmedabad has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. Originally scheduled to take place on October 2 at Shanku’s Farm in Gota, the event has now been rescheduled to October 14. The delay is primarily due to complications arising from the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, which has affected travel plans for Pathak’s crew.
In a heartfelt video message shared on social media, Falguni Pathak explained the situation. While she and a friend successfully returned to India from Toronto a day earlier, a crucial group of 14 crew members remained stranded in Paris. Pathak detailed that these team members were on an Air France flight heading back to India but were forced to turn around due to the escalating conflict in the Middle East. The flight, which had already departed, was redirected back to Paris, leaving her team unable to join her for the event.

She expressed her disappointment, emphasising that while she could technically perform solo in Ahmedabad, the experience would not be the same without her full team. She remarked, “I could come alone to Ahmedabad to perform, but without my team, neither I nor the Garba players would have fun.” Acknowledging the disappointment among the thousands of fans who had already booked tickets, she reassured them that her team had received boarding passes for another flight and asked for prayers for their safe journey back.
The situation remains tense as the conflict continues to unfold, affecting numerous travel plans for many people. The decision to postpone the event was made in the best interest of both the performers and the audience, ensuring that the celebration can be enjoyed to its fullest. With Navratri festivities starting soon, Falguni Pathak is hopeful that her crew will arrive in time to create the vibrant atmosphere that her events are known for.
