New Delhi: Feyenoord have replaced Brian Priske with their former player Pascal Bosschaart as interim manager to the side. The 44-year-old will be taking over the helms of the side against AC Milan in the Champions League. Priske had originally come to replace Arne Slot with a three-year contract. Slot took charge of Premier League side Liverpool and has been enjoying great success at Anfield.
However, things haven’t been so well for his successor at Feyenoord, with Priske under immense pressure for the poor performance of his side in the past few weeks. Last weekend, their 3-0 win against Sparta Rotterdam was their first win in their last five games in the league. They are still 12 points behind table-toppers Ajax. However, they are out of the KNVB Cup which they had won last season, following a 2-0 loss against PSV.

Bosschart had played two seasons with Feyenoord between 2004-2006 and was leading the U-21 team at the club after assistant following spells as assistant coach with SC Cambuur and FC Dordrecht. The technical director of Feyenoord Dennis te Kloese has said that the glad was delighted that Pascal was keen to join the side temporarily.
Feyenoord performance in domestic and continental competition
Te Kloese further said that he had spoken to members of the team including staff and had explained that the club needed to do better. Currently, Feyenoord are sitting fifth in the table with 39 points from their 11 wins and six draws. At Champions League the side’s performance was appalling, winning just four of their eight games at the group stage as they finished 19th in the table.
In the Champions League, they do have some points in their favour with the side managing a 3-3 draw against Manchester City where they were three goals behind until the 74th minute. In their penultimate game in the continental league, the side pulled off a 3-0 win over Bayern Munich.
