New Delhi: There were a couple of brutal finishes at UFC Paris Fight Night which rewarded four fighters a bonus of a whopping amount of $50,000. Chris Duncan, Fares Ziam, Bryan Battle, and Morgan Charriere all four fighters got the finish at the Accor Arena in Paris, France on September 29, Sunday.
Duncan opened the event for Paris fans, Duncan submitted Bolaji Oki by technical submission in the first round. Duncan attempted two takedowns early in the fight but Oki escaped the takedowns. Duncan didn’t stop there and attempted a third takedown and was successful in that and caught Oki in an arm triangle. The referee didn’t notice that Oki was choked out, then Duncan signaled the referee to check Oki was out, and then the Referee finished the fight.
Ziam opened the main event card of UFC Paris and put a benchmark of the event. Ziam was dominating the fight and was great on the feet, he connected his knee to Matt Frevola’s jaw from the back and knocked out Frevola in the third round.
Charriere the local guy needs only one left hook to finish Gabriel Miranda in the second round. Miranda was looking to hit a reverse kick to Charriere but Charriere caught him with his right hand on his jaw and sent him to the canvas from his left hook.
The battle was fighting in the enemy territory as Kevin Jousset was getting full crowd support from the Paris fans. Jousset was giving a tough time to Battle in the first round but was slowed down in the second round. Battle took advantage of that and caught him with his right hand and then Jousset’s legs were shaken, and Battle finished him via TKO.
This was one of the best UFC Fight Night events as many finishes were seen in the event. After many UFC events, four fighters won the fight bonus, which fans enjoyed in the event.
