Electricity has become expensive in Himachal Pradesh from today. Also, water bills will be issued in rural areas from today. Now prescriptions will not be made in OPD of AIIMS Bilaspur without Aabha card.
Water bills will be issued in Himachal from October 1 and for domestic consumers, the electricity subsidy of one rupee per unit will be stopped after 300 units. Industrial houses in the state will also not get electricity subsidy of one rupee per unit.
The subsidy of one rupee per unit given to industrial electricity consumers in the state has been stopped. Domestic consumers will also get subsidy relief only up to 300 units.
Along with this, electricity bills will be issued with new rates from October 1.
Consumers consuming less than 300 units of electricity will continue to get subsidy of Rs 1.83 to Rs 3.53 per unit as per the slab.
Those consuming more than 300 units per month will no longer get subsidy of Rs 1.03. New rates for water will also be applicable from Tuesday.
Water bill will be charged in rural areas as well. Bill of Rs 100 will be charged per connection every month. Water meters will not be installed in these areas.
