New Delhi: Arsenal travelled to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace and it was Gabriel Jesus yet again, who managed to steal the headlines after scoring a brace against the Eagles, which made it five goals in two consecutive games for the Brazilian. Jesus scored his first ever hat-trick for Arsenal a couple of days back in the EFL Cup quarter final, where they beat Crystal Palace in a thriller of a game that ended 3-2. Arteta trusted Jesus in tonight’s game as he started him against the same side he scored his hat-trick against, this timein a league fixture.
Jesus certainly didn’t disappoint as he bagged another two goals against the Eagles to put Arsenal in the driving seat. It only took him six minutes to score the first goal when Arsenal’s Brazilian forward was wandering in the six-yard box and Bukayo Saka’s cross from the right soared over Chris Richards before flicking off Gabriel and into Jesus’ path. Then, from close range, Jesus managed to tuck it home to give Arsenalan early sixth minute lead.
Later on, as the game progressed and Crystal Palace managed to equalise, Jesus was there yet again to put the Gunners in front. This time, after a corner kick, Partey cut him back, and he slammed an unstoppable shot into the top-right corner to make it 2-1. Dean Henderson had no chance with that shot whatsoever, due to the pace in that shot.
Is Jesus making Arteta reconsider his January plans?

After Jesus’s midweek exploits, Arsenal supporters wanted him to start this Premier League game, and their request was granted as the Brazilian striker was named in the starting lineup. After his recent hat-trick exploits, Mikel Arteta will have been itching for Jesus to get going. The 27-year-old only needed five minutes to make an impression on this match, scoring for the Gunners after catching a loose ball in the box.
Jesus had only scored once since January, in all competitions, before his spectacular burst of goals this week. Arsenal was informed that they must acquire a striker during the forthcoming January transfer window, in part because of the former Manchester City player’s protracted drought.
Yet another brace for Gabriel Jesus means that he has scored five times against the Eagles in their consecutive outings, after scoring a hat-trick in their EFL Clash. Football Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
