How to Perform the Puja
Start with a bath and clean the puja space.
Take a vow (Sankalp) to fast with devotion.
Place an idol of Lord Ganesha on a clean altar.
Offer yellow flowers, Modak, and Besan Laddoos.
Chant mantras: Vakratunda Mahakaya, Suryakoti Samaprabha, Nirvighnam Kurume Deva, Sarvakaryeshu Sarvada, and Mahakarnaaya Vidmahe, Vakratundaya Dheemahi, Tanno Danti Prachodayat.
After moonrise, offer Arghya to the moon.
End the day with Ganesha’s aarti.
Fasting Rules: Break the fast the next morning after prayers. Eat prasad and follow a sattvic (vegetarian) diet. Avoid spicy or tamasic food.
