Ganesh Chaturthi Bank Holiday: Banks closed in these states on September 7, 2024

New Delhi: Banks will be on holiday today on September 7, 2024, in several states to celebrate the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. To be sure, this is not a nationwide holiday and lenders will keep their branches open in most states today since it is the first Saturday of the month.

Regular bank customers may know that banks across India are closed every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, as per RBI’s orders. Banks also remain closed on Sunday. However, just because your neighbourhood bank branch is closed it does not mean that banking services are shuttered.
