New Delhi: The French Open organisers on Tuesday handed eight wild card entries in the men’s section with former champion Stan Wawrinka and veteran Richard Gasquet awarded a spot in the singles draw.

Wawrinka, a winner at Roland Garros in 2015, has been dogged by injuries in recent years and has slid to the 132nd spot in the ATP rankings.
