New Delhi: Amid weak global cues, Gold prices on September 3, 2024, i.e., Tuesday decreased Rs 111 to Rs 71,490 per 10 grams in futures trade. Meanwhile, Silver prices declined Rs 391 to Rs 84,163 per kg. Analysts are of the view that the yellow metal prices are declining due to weak global cues.
Multi Commodity Exchange: Gold contracts for October delivery traded lower by Rs 111 to Rs 71,490 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 15,956 lots. The silver contracts for December delivery dropped by Rs 391 to Rs 84,163 per kg in a business turnover of 30,258 lots.
Notably, the gold prices declined to USD 2,494.45 per ounce in New York, while silver traded 1.11 per cent lower at USD 28.82 per ounce in New York.

As per Reuters, Gold prices declined as the investors awaited the announcement of the US economic data which might give an idea of the Federal Reserve’s expected interest rate cut this month. The agency stated that Spot gold declined 0.2 per cent at $2,495.50 per ounce by 0630 GMT. Gold Prices had reached a record level of $2,531.60 on August 20, 2024.
