Mumbai: Celebrating the Paris Olympics 2024, today’s Google Doodle is animated in honour of the second day of artistic swimming. The doodle features several birds cheering, with three main birds performing synchronised routines in a fountain, reflecting the spirit of the swimming events.
In their description, Google adds, “The Artistic Swimming competitors have two things on their mind: sync AND swim!” The duet technical and duet free routines are scheduled for August 9 and 19, respectively.
India’s Day 10 at Paris 2024 Olympics
India’s journey on the 10th day of the Paris 2024 Olympics was a rollercoaster, ending with three bronze medals. Ace shuttler Lakshya Sen, despite being close to securing India’s first men’s singles badminton medal, lost a gripping bronze medal match against Malaysia’s Lee Zii Jia after winning the first game.
Shooters Maheshwari Chauhan and Anand Jeet Singh Naruka narrowly missed the skeet mixed team podium, losing the bronze contest to China by one point.
In the men’s 3000m steeplechase, Avinash Sable made headlines by finishing fifth in his heat and advancing to his first Olympic final, building on his success as the reigning Asian Games champion.
Indian sailors Vishnu Saravanan and Nethra Kumanan, unfortunately, did not qualify for the medal race in their respective events.

The Men’s Table Tennis team will kick off the day with their Round of 16 match. At 1:50 PM, Kishore Kumar Jenna will compete in the Men’s Javelin Throw Qualification Group A.
Additionally, the Indian Hockey team will aim for a medal by securing a spot in the finals with a win against Germany in the semi-final later in the day.
