New Delhi: Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya joined the legendary Kapil Dev and Sachin Tendulkar in an elite list after completing 200 wickets in international cricket. Hardik achieved the feat during India’s ongoing clash against arch-rivals Pakistan in the Champions Trophy 2025 at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai.

Hardik continued his impressive run against Pakistan in ICC tournaments and delivered an exceptional spell for India to help the Men in Blue restrict Mohammad Rizwan & Co. to 241 after they opted to bat first in the blockbuster clash. Hardik opened his account with the huge wicket of a well-set Babar Azam before dismissing half-centurion Saud Shakeel to finish with two wickets in the game.

Saud’s dismissal also helped the star India all-rounder complete 200 wickets in international cricket. Hardik became only the sixth Indian cricketer after the likes of Tendulkar and Kapil to score more than 4,000 runs and pick up 200 or more wickets in international cricket. Tendulkar, Kapil, Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin, and Ravi Shastri are the other Indians to achieve the rare double.

Indians with 4,000 runs and 200 wickets in international cricket:

Sachin Tendulkar – 34357 runs and 201 wickets

Kapil Dev – 9031 runs and 687 wickets

Ravi Shastri – 6938 runs and 280 wickets

Ravindra Jadeja – 6664 runs and 604 wickets

Ravi Ashwin – 4394 runs and 765 wickets

Hardik Pandya – 4149 runs and 200 wickets

Hardik Pandya delivers again against Pakistan

Hardik, who enjoys playing against Pakistan, once again delivered with the ball for the Men in Blue in the all-important clash against the arch-rivals on Sunday. Hardik drew the first blood for India by dismissing Babar, who edged an outside-off delivery from the all-rounder to get caught behind by wicket-keeper KL Rahul.

Hardik was left frustrated after Harshit Rana dropped Mohammad Rizwan’s catch of his bowling but he bounced back to dismiss Shakeel on 62 to provide India with another crucial breakthrough in the high-profile clash. Hardik was also spotted giving Babar a cold send-off after dismissing the Pakistan star in the match. He finished with excellent figures of 2/31 off his 8 overs as India restricted Pakistan to 241.
