Washington: Kamala Harris, the United States Vice President, on Monday, gave her first public statement after President Joe Biden withdrew his name from the US Presidential race and endorsed Harris as the Democrat’s nominee for the November elections. In her remark, the vice president reflected on Joe Biden’s legacy as the president saying that his legacy is unmatched.
During her address, Kamala Harris started by providing an update on US President Biden’s health and said that the president wanted to join, but couldn’t as he was recovering at his home in Delaware from COVID infection. “Joe Biden‘s legacy over the last three years is unmatched in modern history,” Harris stated at a White House event.

She commended the president’s achievements during her public appearance on Monday after Biden unexpectedly ended his reelection campaign and endorsed her as his successor.
“Our president, Joe Biden, wanted to be here today. He is feeling much better and recovering fast, and he looks forward to getting back on the road,” the vice president said.
She further added that Biden’s legacy as the president surpassed the legacy of most of his predecessors.
“And I wanted to say a few words about our president. Joe Biden’s legacy of accomplishments over the past three years is unmatched in modern history. In one term, he has already surpassed the legacy of most presidents who have served two terms in office,” Kamala Harris stated.
Vice President Harris asserted, “I first came to know President Biden through his son Beau. We worked together as attorneys general in our states, and back then, Beau would often tell me stories about his dad. He would talk about the kind of father and the kind of man that Joe Biden is.”
