New Delhi: With just a fortnight left for the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant was spotted at the Delhi airport on Wednesday. Pant, who has regained form post his life-threatening car crash, is delivering for Team India to the best of his abilities. In the recently-concluded New Zealand Test series, Pant played remarkably well, especially in the last innings of the third and final Test, but India still suffered humiliation at the hands of the visitors.

Meanwhile, Pant, who was accompanied by his mother, exited his car at the Delhi airport on Wednesday and his heartwarming gesture caught the attention of all the cricket fans. The Indian cricketer touched his mother’s feet to seek blessings and also hugged her before proceeding towards the entry gate. Apart from this, he also obliged a fan and clicked a picture with him before moving ahead. The video of the Indian cricketer became famous on social media as soon as it was visible and grabbed the eyeballs of all his fans.

BGT to decide Team India’s fate in WTC

The five-match tough series against the Aussies will determine the fate of the Indian cricket team in the World Test Championship (WTC) standings. The home Test series loss against the Kiwis was a big blow for the side and they will have to show up firmly id they wish to stand any chance in WTC. Out of the five Test matches, India must win 4 to qualify for the WTC 2025 finals.

Apart from this, the Indian cricket board BCCI will take a stern action and do a overhaul especially if the team fails in the Australia tour as well. The entire Indian Test contingent will leave for Australia in the next few days so Pant was in the capital city to spend some time with his family, especially mom.
