New Delhi: The weight loss of WWE superstar Dave Bautista surely shocked his fans to the core and although it was expected… the weight loss has stunned the WWE fraternity as well. While some of them won’t speak in open about The Deacon, not everyone has the same characteristics. Former WWE Manager Dutch Mantell didn’t shy away from giving his take on Bautista’s insane body transformation.
Bautista recently underwent a dramatic weight loss which left many of his fans worried about his health until he opened up about the weight loss and revealed that he is feeling comfortable with his current physique. Speaking on the latest edition of Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the veteran talked in depth about Bautista’s weight loss. While talking over the topic, he didn’t mince his words at all.
“Good god, my god. That’s… yep. He’s horrible looking. The body… what’s he… what’s he weigh now? He gotta weigh under 200. He looks really thin. Hey, if you took his… I could tell by the face, but if you took his face off, you couldn’t tell who that was at all,” Mantell was quoted as saying by Sportskeeda Wrestling.
What did Bautista say about losing weight?
The Animal left everyone amazed when he appeared at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) for the premiere of The Last Showgirl. Known for his ripped physique during his prime in the WWE, the 55-year-old wrestler-turned-actor bid goodbye to WWE in 2019. A before and after comparison of him had gone viral on social media which drew the attention of the WWE fans.
He recently had a chat with Chris Van Vliet about his body transformation where he admitted that he “overdid” it.
“I probably overdid it. I was probably a little too big, but at the time I was just thinking – ‘I gotta get big.’ I put on an uncomfortable amount of weight, and it took me forever to shed it off. Then I noticed the more I trimmed down, the better I felt. And I also noticed the more I trimmed down, the better I looked on camera, the better I look next to other actors,” said Bautista.
Well, it would be interesting to see if the former WWE Champions has anything in response to Mantell’s brutal but honest comments about his weight loss. Nonetheless, he will be next appearing in the action-comedy “The Killer’s Game” which also stars Sofia Boutella. The film hit the theatres on September 13 and has garnered negative reviews.
