New Delhi: FC Barcelona are focused on registering Dani Olmo and Pau Victor and have turned to the courts requesting an urgent precautionary measure as confirmed by Barca president Joan Laporta. The move comes as the club is facing challenges in generating the necessary revenue within a tight timeframe to gain La Liga’s approval for the two players to participate.
While the Blaugrana are closing the agreement with Nike it will not be enough for them to close the return to the 1:1 Fair Play rule which would permit them to operate more normally within the financial constraints.

How much amount is still needed?
According to reports even after securing their agreement with Nike, Barcelona still requires around €60 million to comply with the 1:1 salary cap rule. This regulation allows the club to reinvest every euro earned from player sales or wage reductions directly into strengthening the squad.
In recent weeks, the Catalans have been working on generating additional income to address their salary cap limitations imposed by La Liga. The deal with Nike was finalised a few weeks ago and will get approved by the club members this weekend. Barca still needs to secure more funds to balance their budget and create sufficient space within their salary cap available.

Following the meeting with La Liga, it has become clear that an additional amount of €60 million is required to cover the shortfall left by the Barca Vision project. Barcelona are currently exploring the possibilities of new partners joining their project following payment defaults by Libero.
However, for the time being, the club has decided to freeze the idea until new investors who can contribute to the project are found and help to grow business development. Several companies have shown interest but the Catalans are still seeking a partner who can help in the development of the business plan and holds a strong connection to audiovisual products.
VIP seats at sale
With other options exhausted, Barcelona turned their focus on negotiating the sale of VIP seats in the revamped Camp Nou. The discussions are being carried out through the commercial agency Sixth Street which had previously facilitated a similar agreement with Real Madrid earlier this year.
Barcelona expect to receive around €200m for the sale of the Spotify Camp Nou’s VIP seats for the next 20 years. Real Madrid and other top European clubs have already done this.

Proposals are already on the table and could generate approximately €200 million in revenue. However, Barcelona are being cautious and do not want to rush into any hasty decisions. Despite the challenges, the club remains confident that the necessary €60 million will be secured before June 30. Achieving this target will help balance their finances and enable them to operate normally in the summer transfer window and register new signings.
